After returning home from an LDS mission in 2004, Jim returned to work for Seattle’s oldest and largest lumber and building materials supplier. His exceptional work habits combined with his knowledge of building materials quickly led to his promotion to the sales desk. A competing home building materials company attracted his interest, and soon after he began work there he was promoted to Credit Specialist. Jim was put in charge of meeting the corporate goals set forth for his store in Everett, WA. With his decision to move to Utah in 2006, this national company transferred him to their Provo store. Because of his overwhelming success as their Credit Specialist, he was promoted again—this time with responsibilities that included traveling around the Mountain West region to train in-store Credit Specialists. Jim brought both stores (Everett, WA and Provo, UT) to the number one rank nationally in credit accounts opened.
In April of 2007 Jim was licensed as a Realtor and member of the Utah County Association of Realtors. 2008 brought new opportunities for Jim, including Community Involvement Committee Membership. He also earned the coveted Rookie of the Year Award for 2008.
In 2009 Jim was asked to serve as the chairperson for the Community Involvement Committee, creating opportunities for Realtors in Utah County to serve in their community and let the public know who Realtors really are. Jim also won the Excellence in Real Estate Award for 2009 and 2010.
He was chosen to be the Technology Committee Chairman in 2010 and 2011 because of his knowledge of and expertise in technology. This committee provides classes for UCAR members that help them sharpen their skills and understanding of new hardware and software that will enhance their effectiveness as realtors. In mid 2010 UCAR leadership decided that opening the first NAR approved Young Professionals Network was needed. Jim was assigned this task and the first YPN in Utah was launched in June of 2010.
Jim is currently licensed at Windermere Real Estate in Orem, holds the CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) designation and the e-PRO designation.
